Dossier for engineers

The latest IQ dossier on professional recognition offers valuable tips for entering the occupation of engineer.

What pathways exist for working as an engineer in Germany? How can I have my professional qualification recognised? And what's the situation regarding the professional titles of engineer and consulting civil engineer which are regulated by federal state law in Germany?

These and many other questions are answered in the latest publication in the series of dossiers on professional recognition which the Network “Integration through Qualification (IQ)” is publishing for selected occupations to support skilled workers with foreign professional qualifications. For example, in terms of recognition for each occupation, the dossiers provide information about regulations relating to regulated professions, language skills needed, training opportunities and much more. Skilled workers and specialists who have successfully completed the recognition procedure also describe their experiences.

The dossiers are available to download free of charge as PDFs from the Network IQ website. Dossiers have so far been published for general nurses, electronics technicians and teachers. A dossier for pharmacists is currently being prepared.
You will find the competent authorities and important information on the occupations of engineer and civil consulting engineer via the Profi-Filter in this portal.
