Ropemakers (master craftspersons) direct and monitor work processes in the manufacturing, assembly and maintenance of ropes and nets made from natural and artificial fibres as well as of steel ropes and hawsers. They ensure that work is completed in the correct manner. They complete commercial tasks, support customers and suppliers, manage employees and are responsible for company-based training.
