Certified nature and landscape conservation specialists are mainly employed by district or local governments, the environmental departments of which are responsible for managing and caring for nature and landscape conservation areas. Private companies in the horticultural and landscaping sector, nature parks and botanical or zoological gardens also offer employment opportunities within the scope of the management of semi-natural environments. In addition, certified nature and landscape conservation specialists may work for companies in the waste disposal sector, where they are responsible for tasks such as the decontamination of waste disposal sites.
