Recognition act of the state of Thuringia adopted

On April 10, the recognition act for occupations regulated by the federal states was adopted in the state parliament (Landtag) of Thuringia.

After entering into force, this state law will supplement the Federal Recognition Act. Thuringia is the 14th federal state that has adopted a state recognition act.

With the Thuringian recognition act (ThürAnerkG), a legal claim to assessment of the equivalence of vocational qualifications acquired abroad has now been established for the majority of occupations regulated by the federal states. This includes occupations such as nursery teacher, social worker and food chemist as well as vocational and further training qualifications acquired at schools.

The Thuringian state government has established a central contact point that should help interested persons in finding answers to all questions regarding the topic of recognition.
